Vessels of untold stories, each image carrying a history it cannot recount. The individuals depicted within the frames possess the freedom to be anyone—or perhaps no one

Momento is a single-channel video that unfolds a non-narrative tale, where found photographs transiently appear and fade on the screen. Through this creative interplay, the story subtly morphs and evolves as the photographs perpetually cycle and deform throughout the video.

At its core, Momento serves as an exploration into the essence of memory in relation to the passage of time. The utilization of found photographs and the crafting of fictional memories tied to them challenge our understanding of memory’s malleability.

These photographs, once cherished moments in the lives of individuals, now metamorphose into figments of the artist’s imagination. They become vessels of untold stories, each image carrying a history it cannot recount. The individuals depicted within the frames possess the freedom to be anyone—or perhaps no one—with the weight of their past detached from their portrayal.

As Momento unravels, it beckons contemplation on the nature of memory, inviting us to question how our recollections of memories are shaped and reshaped over time. It challenges our perception of reality, urging us to embrace the fluidity of memory and the kaleidoscopic nature of the human experience.
